Type of Services

Therapeutic Massage

A more focused approach to pain relief and structural integration.  This type of Bodywork helps when you are suffering from specific pain.  Therapeutic (or Deep Tissue) Massage is not just about “deep pressure.”  It is about skilled application and detailed knowledge of how the body works and how to restore it to proper functioning.  The work can be quite deep (always within the tolerance of the client) or it can address tissue closer to the surface.  This form of Bodywork may or may not use oil or lubricant on the skin and can even be done in comfortable clothing.  Other modalities will be used as needed including Myofascial Release, Cupping, Cranial-Sacral, Strain Counterstrain and/or Thai stretching.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation Massage is for those who desire to feel deeply relaxed and rejuvenated.  It is frequently used to alleviate stress (and symptoms of stress) as well as generally ease muscle tension and increase circulation.  It incorporates “traditional” Swedish strokes such as Effleurage, Petrissage and Compression using oil or other lubricant on the skin.  It is also generally geared towards a full body treatment.  Luxury and function all in one.

Thai Massage

Rest comfortably clothed on a mat as your muscles are stretched and pressed.  Enjoy the benefits of yoga and massage all in one session!  In order to address the whole body, a minimum session length of 90 minutes is recommended.

Medical Massage

This form of bodywork is for those who have pain or injury, necessitating a prescription from their primary care physician, and is usually paid for by a third party. Click here to learn more about medical massage.
